FIVE ARSENAL UNTOUCHABLES REVEALED

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has a lot of work to do as he prepares for the new campaign which starts in August. He was the man at the helm of affairs as the Gunners failed to qualify for European football for the first time in 26 years.

Mikel Arteta is now under more pressure to arrest the recent decline at Arsenal and a lot of the his players have been linked with moves away from the club as he prepares to carry out a major surgery on his team in time for the new season. The Gunners have been linked with several players to potentially replace the outgoing players. Some of the players being linked to Arsenal include Norwich City midfielder Emiliano Buendia, Ajax Amsterdam shot stopper Andre Onana, Inter Milan right-back AchraafHakimi and many more.

Football London examined Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal squad at his disposal to arrive at the five untouchables in the team.

The first player is Kieran Tierney who’s the undisputed first choice left-back at the club and will represent Scotland at the Euro 2020 tournament starting next week. He was voted the third best player by the Gunners fans.

Emile Smith-Rowe came into the Arsenal starting XI in December and he helped spark a mini-revival that was not enough to seal European football in the end. He was one of the top five players at Arsenal at the end of the season.

England international Bukayo Saka was named as one of the five Arsenal untouchables after a stellar season. He was named the best player by the fans and the utility player recently scored his first goal for the Three Lions in a 1-0 win at home to Austria in an international friendly.

Club skipper Pierre-EmerickAubameyang and midfielder Thomas Partey were the other two players named as untouchables in the eye of Mikel Arteta and Arsenal.
